Griggs offers enrichments/educational programs that help make the international experience vivid to the students. Programs are adapted to fit the needs of the Griggs partners each year. They may include the following:
Summer camps in Asia, Europe and North America
Cultural exchanges in Asia, Europe, North America and South America
University workshops in Asia, Europe and North America
Language tours in Asia, Europe, North America and South America
These enrichments may include discipline choices such as science, architecture, business, government, history, literature, music, media, photography, leadership, etc. GIA wants to give students the opportunity to practice language, live with host families, attend camps with American students, explore career options, and earn additional credit.
With over 40 activities to choose from, Griggs has perfected the art of keeping students entertained. Activities may include archery, art, BMX, golf, music, drama, basketball, fitness, surfing, kayaking, canoes, horses-riding, photography, sports, skateboarding, and waterskiing.
One of the most popular camps among the students is the language camp. At Griggs, our inspiring teachers bring language to life through innovation exercises including drama, film, dance, public speaking, debating, and creative writing. Language programs offer a minimum of three hours of interactive lessons each morning. The afternoon offers content-based learning through team building, group sports, and problem-solving activities. Social time is provided in the evenings for students to converse through performances, board games, and team talks.
The most popular camp among high school students is the Credit Camp. Through 3 weeks of study during the summer holiday, students can earn 1 credit upon completion of the course the student chooses. Here are some subject choices: English I, English II, American History, American Government, American Literature, and British Literature.
Moreover, our camps can be tailored to meet the needs of each student.
