All Teachers must be accredited by Griggs before teaching in a Griggs program. To accommodate educators from diverse backgrounds, Griggs has partnered with Andrews University to establish multiple pathways, supporting teachers in achieving teaching certification.

• Teachers who already hold a teaching certificate are required to submit their qualification documents to Griggs, including their teaching certificate and degree diploma, to demonstrate their subject and grade-level expertise, thereby completing the certification review.
• Teachers without a teaching certificate must complete the Griggs Teacher Certification Course within one year. They must receive instructional guidance from a Griggs approved teacher and pass Griggs evaluations to complete the course successfully.
• With the support of Andrews University, educators in the Griggs system can pursue a Master’s in Education through distance learning while teaching in a school, enabling them to earn both a master’s degree and a Michigan state certification. Furthermore, by undertaking a doctoral program in education, teachers can further deepen their professional expertise in educational research or prepare for a transition into educational leadership roles.
