In English, they delved into poetry, short stories, fiction, non-fiction, and speeches, while also mastering the mechanics of English grammar.

The Government class had the incredible opportunity to learn about the processes of government firsthand. Under the guidance of Ms. April, the students participated in debates, discussions, readings, and active learning activities in a warm and supportive environment.

Our second trip to D.C. was as memorable as the first. We started with a breathtaking view from the top of the Washington Monument, follwed by a walk to the White House for photos, and spent the afternoon at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. This museum, the only national institution dedicated solely to African American life, history, and culture, left a profound impact on us all.

The camp has been packed with enriching experiences. Beyond the academic pursuits, students enjoyed a visit to Greenbrier Lake, a volleyball and basketball game with local students, and a BBQ at Ms. Eunie's house. A highlight for many was holding snakes at Mount Aetna Nature centre. These activities have made the camp truly unforgettable.
