GIA High School Program

All Griggs affiliated schools participate in program evaluations each semester. Evaluations allow schools and GIA to determine if the Griggs programs are being implemented according to GIA philosophy, standards, and practices. It is an opportunity for schools to pause, reflect on what is working and what may need more attention. It is a time to step back to see the bigger picture, re-engage the community and get re-energized about what the school offers students and teachers.

With the end of the epidemic, Griggs China resumed on-site evaluations this semester. In May, Ms. Lisa Kerr, the Academic Director of Griggs China, visited the four affiliated schools of Griggs China/GIA: Shanghai Hongrun Boyuan School, Kunshan Liren Foreign Language School, Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy, and ZWIE World Academy, according to her visit schedule, and conducted program evaluations. All affiliated schools warmly welcomed Lisa.

According to Griggs' teaching guidelines and standards, Lisa assessed the schools in the following areas.

Through lesson observations, meetings with students, parents, faculty, and administrators, online surveys, document audits, inspections of school facilities and general observations, Lisa gained a comprehensive understanding of the program implementation of each affiliated school. After the evaluation, guidance and recommendations were given to schools to ensure they are on a constant journey of excellence.

In her evaluation diary, Lisa spoke highly of the support from school administration for the Griggs programs, the dedication of the faculty, and the efforts of the students towards their goals. Griggs China sincerely thanks those who are committed and dedicated to our Griggs programs. We are confident that under the guidance of Griggs' whole-person education philosophy, our schools will embrace a bright future and continue to be affirmers of knowledge and changers of the world.
